Copper Fold Form Workshop: 44 Jayne Street, Florida NY 10921
Fold forming uses the metal’s plasticity and ductility to make complex forms resembling chased, constructed and soldered shapes from single sheets of metal. Radical changes in cross section are possible in as little as 3-5 minutes. Fold forming has spread around the world as a new way to explore forming sheet material. In this workshop, we will work hands-on with the torch, hammer and anvil to learn a series of fold-forming techniques in copper. The results are quick and gratifying, and lead readily to new design ideas. This workshop is a great choice for experimenting with new design ideas at the forge. Small class size for hands-on time at the anvil.
