Catchings Miniature Anvil Collection

Bronze Tuyeres and Brass Castings

W. D. Hofius Foundry and Machinst Advertising Anvil

Photos provided by John Catchings, digitally processed by Jock Dempsey.

This is an unusual piece due to the high probability that it was made in-house as this was a brass foundry company that made small parts. The narrow face makes a thinner anvil thus saving metal. The lettering is the typical foundry letters attached to the side of the pattern as is common in industrial pattern work.
