John sent me thses photos in response to a question I had regarding the design and manufacture of a collectable miniature anvil.
These rarely seen pieces, from a world class collection, are an education in high quality miniature anvils.
Miniature anvils are made for a variety of purposes.
Most are advertising pieces, many are tourist souvenirs, other commerative pieces and a few small bench and jeweler's anvils.
But some are high art pieces made as gifts or desk art.
