BOX FORGING p.127 a side, and will appear as at C. The next step is to heat and bend, over a block, 7/8 in. of the edge to form the sides of the base. This is done by hammering them over a block that fits in the anvil. This block is shown at D. To bend the sides one edge of the plate is heated and hammered over the block, then another edge.
