70 HAND - FORGING Rings made from flat stock are hammered over the horn of the anvil to shape them. The ends are scarfed on the horn and lapped the proper distance; then a heat is taken, and the ring welded Fig. 4.0. Ordinary Ring Welding and rounded into shape.
