Saturday night the symposium held a round table and an
auction. The funds raised from this auction contribute toward the
scholarships of more than 15 smiths. The items for this auction
are donated by the people attending the symposium.

Mark Linn gave an in depth demonstration on building your
own air hammer. From gathering the parts and pieces, to the fine
tuning, operation and safety, every thing was covered. Mark's and
Rick Dunkerley's demos were given in the new Forge Pavilion.

Dr. Batson was the founder of Alabama Forge Council.
I would like to thank Dr. Batson and Jock Dempsey of Anvilfire for
letting me cover this event. The hospitality I received was warm
