For MANY years (21) we have been using Count.cgi on hundreds of pages and for a country flag system we developed. I've moved the hundreds of counter.dat files from one server to another over the years. . . cPanel used to support it but the version on our shared account does not appear to (I could not find it). "/cgi-sys/Count.cgi" on one of our domains returns the error below. So it appears to be on the system. Counter datafile "var/cpanel/Counters/TurleyForge_home.dat" must be created in cPanel first! On our last server I had all the counters in one folder and had to chown each for the appropriate account. However, the vast majority belonged to anvilfire.com. I understand not having access beyound our shared account to get to var/. I'm wondering if I can set it up in our root (anvilfire.net) space. Any help would be appreciated.
