Old Millstone Forge - Colonial Anvil

Colonial Anvil

In the U.S. These graceful Old anvils are called "Colonial" due to being from the Britih, French and Spanish colonial periods. This is an Old hornless British anvil from about 1700-1750. These were commonly used in association with stake anvils. Heavy forging was done on the hornless and delicate bending and scrolling done on the stake.
