Old Millstone Forge - Peter Wright Anvil

Peter Wright English Anvil

ITEM No. 1102 Anvil, Peter Wright, patent, Solid Wrought, England

This anvil appears to have been slightly modified at the step. Note the slopped cutting table and the height of the step. This is more than a little dressing. This is a change by someone that wanted a good 1" depth to the step. Two other anvils in this shop have this feature, the Trenton which had a deep step from the factory and the modified/special Hay-Budden.

  • Weight: 1.2.21, 189 pounds (86 kg)
